Office Visits
Complimentary Consultation
At your first visit to our office, you will meet our staff and Dr. Bruchal who will provide a complimentary consultation. Your initial visit will consist of a review of your medical/dental history, digital photos of your face and teeth, a clinical examination, and a discussion of your appropriate orthodontic treatment. Dr. Bruchal will explain if you are a candidate for orthodontic treatment, the optimal time to start, potential treatment options, and the estimated cost of treatment.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit:
- Any panoramic X-ray taken by your dentist within the past six months.
- If you have dental insurance that provides orthodontic coverage, please bring your insurance card.
- A completed New Patient Form, which can be downloaded here.
Diagnostic Records/Treatment Planning
While many questions about treatment can be answered during the initial examination, Dr. Bruchal can only address specific areas after careful analysis of complete diagnostic records. Dr. Bruchal believes it is important to analyze each patient's specific needs prior to initiating any treatment, because careful planning leads to superior results and more satisfied patients!
If orthodontic treatment is warranted and you decide to continue, the next step will be to complete your diagnostic records, which are created to determine the best course of treatment. Complete diagnostic records include a medical/dental history, clinical examination, impressions for study models of the teeth, digital photos of the patient's face and teeth, and digital X-rays. This information is used to develop a custom treatment plan for each patient. These records are also helpful in tracking the progress of treatment as the teeth move under orthodontic care.
After Dr. Bruchal has evaluated your records, we will discuss your course of treatment with you in detail, including the cost for your particular case. We will be happy to answer all of your questions regarding your treatment and payment plan.
Regular Appointments
The appointment when you get your appliances (braces, expanders, etc.) usually takes 1 to 2 hours. You'll then see us at regular intervals once every 4 to 8 weeks for an adjustment. On average, adjustment appointments only take 20 to 40 minutes. Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately, preferably at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment.
